Hello freinds.

When I am dealing with a virus or spyware/malware, I use the following as a gernal procedure for removing them.

  1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop
  2. Go to properties
  3. Click on the "System Restore" tab
  4. Check the "Turn off system restore" check box

Download:

  1. Cleanup
  2. Spybot
  3. Malwarebytes:
    1. then click the "Download Now" button
  4. CCleaner

*Install all programs*
*Update but do not run:*

  1. Spybot
    1. On install, Spybot will have necessary updates checked. No need to get the others. Click Immunize
  2. MalwareBytes
  3. CCleaner

*Run In Order, waiting until each one finishes before starting the next*

  1. Cleanup (Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  2. Spybot (Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  3. MalwareBytes(Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  4. CCleaner:
    1. click registry, then scan for issues.\
    2. Click "Fix selected issues"
    3. Click "Yes" to make a backup and save it as 1
    4. Repeat steps 4A through 4C but save backup as n+1 where n is
      the last number you saved the backup as.
    5. Repeat until no more problems arise.

*Reboot into Safe Mode:*
Reboot the computer. When you see the manufacturer screen, press F8 once every 2 seconds until you are prompted to choose what Mode to start Windows XP in. Choose "Safe Mode" NOT "Safe Mode with Networking."

*Run one at a time in this order:

  1. Cleanup (Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  2. Spybot (Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  3. MalwareBytes(Do not log off when prompted at the end of the scan)
  4. CCleaner:
    1. click registry, then scan for issues.
    2. Click "Fix selected issues"
    3. Click "Yes" to make a backup and save it as 1
    4. Repeat steps 4A through 4C but save backup as n+1 where n is
      the last number you saved the backup as.
      1. Repeat until no more problems arise.

*Reboot your machine into normal mode (Don't press F8 at the Manufacturer screen).
